2025 Winter Camp Participant Application

Howdy!

Thank you for your interest in Free Rein Therapeutic Riding's Equine Winter Camps!

Details for participants:

  • All paperwork (including a doctor's note, if required) must be completed at least two weeks prior to the start of camp in order to participate.
  • Equine Winter Camp will be held at: 6919 N Walnut Rd, Spokane, WA 99217
  • Camp is three hours long, Tuesday, December 30th with a choice of 9:00am to 12:00pm  or 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
  • Snacks will be provided
  • We have an indoor arena that keeps us out of inclement weather, however if the temperature is under 30 degrees there will be no riding.
Through structured equine-focused activities, participants will learn general horsemanship skills like safety, tacking, groundwork, and riding. Through regular commitment and accomplishment, they will build a sense of self-empowerment, respect, and responsibility in a supportive and encouraging environment. And they will have the opportunity to connect and communicate with other participants, volunteers, staff, and horses to gain a sense of belonging and purpose. The skills they learn during Winter Camp can be applied to other areas of their lives, and will have a positive impact on their overall health and well-being.
  • For kids ages 7 to 18
  • Kids with disabilities must be independent for toileting.
  • Must be able to attend to task for 15 minutes without assistance.
  • $60 per camper
  • New clients will require a new rider assessment, cost of $35
